Loading area

The operator manually loads cages and lids to be washer on the coneyor belt from three different angles. Conveyor is made of stainless steel wire bars and chains with a special design to accommodate IVC cage tops. Special silicon curtains contain and direct many condense given off during wash phase to the extratction point.

 

 

Pre-wash and wash stage

It is performed by means of lower and upper batteries of quick lock self-draining arms, complete with purpose designed removable stainless steel nozzles, providing 1400 l / min of hot water at 3 bar pressure!

 

Refilling water, which is drawn in from the pre-rinse circuit, it is heated by finely electropolished stainless steel exchanger. This partially re-circulating system maintains fairly clean wash water whilst minimising running costs. A double (separate tanks) alkaline and acid wash stage is available as an option to carry out a so called "chemical pH shock".

 

Pre-rinse and final rinse stage

Pre-rinse is normally aimed to remove the majority of the detergent solution before final rinse. Water entirely taken from the final rinse, is heated and circulated at 500 l / min with a 2 bar pressure. The pre-rinse used water is then re-used back in the wash tank and under a separate cuircuit in the pre-wash stage too (if present). Final rinse is performed with quick-lock arms complete with stainless steel atomisers to give complete coverage of the load. Water is always fresh and shall be properly softened to prevent calcareous residues on the cage surface.

 

Blowing and drying stage

A battery of four fans minimum constantly blow and re-circulate hot air through lower and upper narrow slots, exposing the load to a uniform and effective laminar flow. The large volume of air is heated by means of a steam-to-air exchanger made of interwoven tubes.

 

Unloading area

A suitable placed emergency push-button stops the amchine in case of danger or accident (same present in the loading area). This section is also equipped with a laser sensor overload device which will stop the conveyor (and consequently water flow and energy usage) if the items that have been washed are not removed and taken away by an operator.
